Part I: What you’re allowed to do:
BACKTAGGING: Is my best friend

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Just be available for me to talk to you if you think it's going to be a Thing.
HUGGING THIS CHARACTER: Sure, though he will probably be like ‘what.'
KISSING THIS CHARACTER: Sure, but don’t expect reciprocity.
FLIRTING WITH THIS CHARACTER: Go ahead, but not only will he not respond, he may not notice.
FIGHTING WITH THIS CHARACTER: Sure thing, but keep a line open to talk things through.
INJURING THIS CHARACTER (INCLUDE LIMITS AND SEVERITY): Absolutely! Generally speaking, minor injuries are totally fine; double check with me before breaking bones or doing anything which would require actual notable medical aid; severe injury, let's have a talk about how and why.
KILLING THIS CHARACTER: No.
USING TELEPATHY/MIND READING ABILITIES ON THIS CHARACTER: Complicated. I will generally note in narration if he is empathically shielded or not. If he actively projects, his emotions have been known to render an empath unconscious from overload; if he is shielding, almost nothing will break through. Empathy and emotion-sensing will generally not work on him; he’s usually shielded. Ditto telling if he is telling the truth or not. Telepathy, however, will work with a little more effort, especially from strong telepaths; however, he will feel the intrusion and may react badly.

Note: this may change should Tavi ever be canon-updated to have full access to his crafting.
Tavi is a formidable character any way you cut it, with or without furycrafting.
Furycrafting
If you're curious/want a more in-depth description of furycrafting, it can be found on this page. For the tl;dr, it is elemental spirit magic. Given such:
Does Tavi have permission to...
- Read your character's emotions magically? A subdivision of this: know if they're telling the truth? Powerful psychic/empathic-type shields and/or hefty, well-trained mental control (especially consciously applied) will block him. It also pretty much includes sensing they're there. Touch increases this.
- Successfully shield from being psychically noticed? This means emotions/whether he's telling the truth, and to some degree his presence for psychic stuff).
- Use furycrafting in combat? At the moment, he can only do internalized things, so this is not as much of an issue.
(Note: sensing feelings only works in physical presence. No video-mind-reading. Just in case anyone was wondering.)
Non-crafting
- Get into combat? If so, please give an idea of skill level. Tavi is quite a skilled swordsman, one of the best his age—though not in the top ten or even fifteen of his world by any stretch. That said, he also knows his way around a brawl and has killed one of the half dozen best swordsmen in. He’s pretty dangerous.
- Do you want his precognition and preternatural instincts to interact with your character? Obviously precog is complicated, but having a general instinct about a person--likely reactions, Who They Are As A Core Personality, maybe just a general unconscious awareness of... whatever, let me know here how far you'd want it to go. I suspect this is especially relevant with how far his intuition will go as far as secret identities, random back history, etc. Happy to discuss it in detail if it's murky, and Tavi’s is not as strong as others’ in his family
- Are you okay with my character making inferences about yours? If so, what sorts? Ie: can it be deduced what job they might do, how old they are, etc? If there's anything you absolutely do not want him to deduce, let me know! Basically, Tavi's a genius. While he can't hack technology, he will compulsively read public posts and do low-tech intelligence gathering.
